Yup, official rock star status #cocacola600 #nascar (Taken with instagram)

Today I ran my first Warrior Dash and it was such a blast! One of the girls I ran with has really bad knee problems so we definitely took our time to complete all the obstacles - but in all honesty, that just made the fun last longer :) The official photos from the event will be posted online soon and I’m hoping they got a shot of me jumping over the fire obstacle!!

Watch out people! Tough ladies coming through!
Sounds like a person who just turned 21, right?
First visit to the World of Coca-Cola so I had to get some love from the polar bear! #cclp #cocacola #atlanta (Taken with instagram)

My first day on the job, enjoying a free Diet Cherry Coke!
The past two weeks have been such a whirlwind of excitement. For one, I’ve finally settled in to my new apartment for the summer (which is an amazing 6 minute commute to Coca-Cola). I was a little nervous about moving in with 3 random roommates, but when I found out that 2 have already moved home for the summer and the other one pretty much lives with her boyfriend, I was so relieved. I’ll be waking up before 7:30 every day this summer and it’s nice to know I don’t have to worry about waking anyone else up.
And Coca-Cola is more incredible than I could have ever imagined.
Tomorrow will be my 3rd day at the internship and we’re hosting a massive mommy bloggers conference where we will educate parents about Coca-Cola’s vision to live positively by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and well-being (Subway and Seagram’s will also play a part in the event). Later in the day we’ll go on a special access tour of the World of Coca-Cola and we’ll conclude the day with dinner at a restaurant in Downtown Atlanta. The event will continue on Thursday and I’m sure it will be a success!
Oh, and did I mention that I’m working the Coca-Cola 600 where I’ll have VIP access to all the events?
Yep, that’s happening. Not only will this provide me with great in-the-field PR experience, but I’m also going to get a chance to hang out with the big shots! How can this summer possibly get any better!?
Hey everyone!
My apologies for falling off the blogging bandwagon recently – things have been absolutely crazy lately and I’m just beginning to get in the swing of things. I promise to post a great recap of all my Coca-Cola/moving to Atlanta excitement this evening when I get home! Let’s just say the entire experience has been unbelievable so far and I can only imagine the surprises the summer will bring. :)
My grades for the semester were posted last night (finally) and even though I’m super happy about how well I did, I was so close to a perfect 4.0 semester that I can’t help but be a little disappointed. I’ve been striving for all A’s for the past year and as you can see, I keep barely missing my goal! Fall 2012 will be the one, I can feel it!

Moving in general is not one of my favorite activities – but moving everything by myself? My yearly nightmare – especially this year…
It took me about 3 hours to make the numerous trips from my fourth floor dorm to my little ford focus and it was absolutely exhausting. All I can think about is how much easier (and quicker) the entire process would be if I had the extra helping hands of my parents. But since that’s not an option, I just power through the packing process and wait for the nightmare to end.
But then comes to joys of unpacking.
Atlanta is about an hour and a half drive from Athens and since I don’t have air conditioning in my car, moving into my apartment tomorrow is going to be a sweaty/teary mess – I just know it. Once my sweaty self finally gets to Atlanta, I still have to carry everything up the five flights of stairs to my new apartment.
But the sense of accomplishment I feel when I realize I did it all on my own makes it worth it…at least until I have to do it again.
May is National Foster Care Awareness Month.

Thank you everyone for the amazing birthday wishes!!! My 21st was a complete success and I am SO GLAD it’s over. Here’s a little recap of all the excitement :)
We began the night at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop (since I LOVE their margaritas and Sangritas!), and of course, Shelli was there to celebrate <3

And I was so happy when two girls I met freshmen year (and we haven’t spoken that much since then) decided to come out and celebrate with me!

We had too many birthday shots

And too many birthday drinks

But it was all worth it to spend an evening with the people I love <3 <3
Turned in my final paper of the semester and I don’t have another final till May 8th.
And it just may be my 21st birthday at midnight so…margaritas for all!!!!!

now if I can just make it through the rest of the week alive :(
nicklamphotography asked: wow that is incredible!! congratulations. You are truly an amazing person that has accomplished so much already and you are going to be doing even more in the future.
Thank you so much! I committed a lot of time to the PRSSA chapter at the University of Georgia and it’s nice to see that all that hard work was recognized. I’m truly honored to be named member of the year and I look forward to seeing where else my life takes me :)
